A Case Study in getting the most out of your people
To empower the team to make decisions by producing a company business manual and look for process improvement across the organisation.
Our client is a well established technical business with offices in the UK and mainland Europe. They are very successful in their field and their team had grown. But as the team had grown so had the number of ways they found to do the same thing, often using very different systems from one team to the next. With no central point of focus to find and share information, it was difficult to manage the existing teams and bring new team members onboard. The creation of a complete business manual was an opportunity to bring the working knowledge together where it could be used to train and educate existing staff and new starters. It was also an opportunity to define ‘the way we do things around here”, once and for all.
The impact of the business manual was much more that just having a central resource to capture workflows. The whole conversation in the office changed with process thinking at the top of the agenda and team members taking a proactive approach to capturing the way they work.
